As a child, I would go to the dentist for a cleaning and always come out bleeding and in pain. So, I stayed away. After graduating college, I and was referred to Dr. Oliver after I chipped a tooth while eating one day. I didn’t have a job yet and I was extremely nervous about visiting the dentist office again, especially under the circumstances. From the initial consultation to the completion of my root canals and additional work, it was painless. The staff is very friendly (as long as you are on time for your appointmentJ) and truly concerned about your experience. They even counseled me on financing the work that I needed and I am very grateful for all of it. I now live in the Northern Virginia area and I travel back to Tidewater just for my dental services because it gives me peace of mind to know that I don’t have to worry about a thing with Dr. Oliver’s team. I have been going to Dr. Oliver since the age of 7. He has been the greatest ever. I went to get my top two wisdom teeth pulled and I was a nervous wreck. But, Dr. Oliver and his entire staff made me feel at ease. When the procedure was done, I didn't even know it. They are all awesome!

I had a very traumatic dental procedure performed over 30 years ago and have always agonized over it. Needless to say, I had not been to a dentist for the past 10 years. It seemed that every dentist I went to they herded you in and out. They knew you by your case number, not your name. I found Dr. Oliver on-line. When I called I was greeted pleasantly. I was told they dealt directly with my dental insurance company, so we scheduled an appointment (with VERY sweaty palms – mind you). I told the scheduler that I had anxiety and she noted it on her schedule. When I arrived for my initial visit I was greeted warmly. The receptionist made me feel very comfortable, and she assured me that they would treat me with kid-gloves. I was introduced to the first hygienist, and I informed her of my anxiety and my reasoning. I asked her to explain everything that they were going to do; and she did - thoroughly. Within a period of a week – I had to go back 2 more times for different procedures. The last procedure was a root canal. I arrived VERY anxious; as you can imagine. But it was finished in no time AND NO PAIN! I felt nothing, no needles, no drilling; NOTHING! I have found my dentist! Everyone from the receptionists, the hygienists, Dr. Oliver, and Kat (The Office Manager) were very nice and accommodating.

After retiring from the Air Force where I had to go to the dentist, I procrastinated until I lost a filling and was in pain – Dr Oliver was recommended by a friend. WOW! What a difference. I didn't feel a thing – after 3 filings and a crown. Dr Oliver cured my dental fear. I will no longer wait until I am in pain.

I struggled with getting veneers for over a year. I saw an ad in a city paper which prompted me to visit Dr Oliver. His staff was knowledgeable and went out to there way to make me feel comfortable. I felt no pressure from anyone – my questions were answered and I was given a quote. I went to several other dentists and none were as thorough and patience. The quote from Dr Oliver's was the best but that wasn't my deciding factor – it was the extra mile they went to make sure I was informed and comfortable with my decision. After going back and forth, I finally decided to proceed with the veneers. I've never been happier with my decision – I love my smile. Hearing comments from my friends and co-workers about how great I look is reward in itself. The staff is WONDERFUL and Dr Oliver is the best. I can't say enough nice things about this group of people. They genuinely care and it shows.

Way back when I saw several dentists in the area and finally found Dr Oliver – I've been coming to him for more 10 years – I feel comfortable with him and he earned my trust long ago when another dentist told me I needed a crown but Dr Oliver said to wait. That tooth lasted 4 years before I really needed a crown. He and his staff have taught me more about my teeth than any other dentist. I have also seen the same hygienist for all of these years. It's nice to know that they know me and my history.

My entire family goes to see Dr O now. I retired from the Navy and hated going to the dentist – Dr O made me feel comfortable and my extraction was painless!!! Didn't even know he had numbed me. His staff went out of their way to make the experience enjoyable – can't believe I tell people that I like my dentist but I do. Plus they have TVs and I got to watch ESPN during my cleaning – the time passed so quickly. This guy is top notch, it was by far the best experience any of have had, even my kids like him (and they TVs).

Dr. Oliver's care and kindness is hard to find in today's day & time. He brings the latest technology and techniques with a touch of yesteryear kindness. I have always been afraid to go to the dentist since I was 17, and have played cat & mouse games. At the age of 36 I now have a healthy mouth, and it's all thanks to Dr. Oliver and his staff of professionals. I trust Dr. Oliver with my children and husband as well. I have changed my mind about the dentist, and my fears are gone, all because of this office!

I have a phobia of needles, but Dr Oliver was so gentle I didn't feel it and I had immediate relief from an excruciating tooth ache. I had neglected my teeth due to my fear. My phobia is forever GONE!! I have since followed through with all of my treatment and my teeth have never been healthier!

I have been going to Dr. Oliver since I was a child and I now have 2 children of my own that will follow in my foot steps as long as we are in the area! Everyone is always so nice and helpful. Great for kids! My son was very weary about going to the dentist for his first real appointment, but all that went out the window in the first few minutes of his appointment! Everyone was so very nice and definitely interacted very well with him as a 4 year old. I was afraid he would be too afraid to cooperate, but he was made to feel very comfortable. I've been going to Dr. Oliver since I was a child as well, and I am so happy I've been able to now entrust my children with him to have an enjoyable experience as well!

I am new to your facility as I have avoided dentists for awhile due to a few really bad experiences. However, I think you are great. The staff is very nice and seems to care about the patient which is wonderful.

I had the greatest experience I've ever had at a dental office! I was seen by Jen who was very professional and friendly. The TV above the dental chair was available to watch throughout your cleaning which was great but I liked my hygienist so much I preferred chatting : ) When the Doctor was finished with my exam I had NO questions left unanswered. The technology that office has is mind blowing! Amazing office with an outstanding staff.

I came in for cavities after having a bad experience at another doctor. While at Princess Anne Center I didn't even know they were giving me the shot, they did a great job.

I have always had a wonderful experience from the entire staff. I also feel this was the first place that focused on prevention of dental problems as well as maintaining my dental well-being, and not just fixing problems after the fact. The entire staff are very educated and caring. I will never be able to leave this area because I cannot leave you all!
